As we've been waiting for the French naval tech tree for years now, I was kinda bored and decided to make a tech tree.
BRs & placement are decided on a hunch, so I would expect that at least 60% of the ships would have at least a 0.3-0.4 BR change & 20% of the ships would have a 0.6-0.7 BR change.
Of course, classic warning : "this is only my own uneducated opinion & suggestion, I am open to discussion" a week ago I didn't know of the existence of half of these ships, I'm as knowledgeable on these ships as the next guy.
This isn't a serious suggestion nor proposal, I just felt like making one, just for the sake of having a sort of general vision on what it could look like.
1. The branches follow the statu quo "standard" format, with :
-
Branch 1 : more or less focused on heavier firepower
-
Branch 2 : more or less focused on heavier torpedo armament
-
Branch 3 : batllecruiser ramification & a few ships I don't know where to fit into the first two branches, kinda like the British third branch
2. Ships that have served under Vichy's ensign are, whenever possible, placed in as premiums and not in the regular tech tree
it's not strictly enforced, I just try whenever I can.
3. Notes : the early version that was shared on Reddit holds no common trait with the latest version :
-stat cards were made for all vehicles in the regular tech tree (& the Jeanne d'Arc).
-overhaul of every ships' BR & placement of all ranks except rank V.
-the battlecruiser ramification was expanded into a real branch (it is not necessary to research the branch to access the battlecruiser ramification).
-Rank I receives 3 new starter destroyers, they might be on the lighter side but they pack a punch (glass cannon I guess).
-I added every single class of small destroyers ("torpilleurs"), large destroyers ("contre-torpilleurs"), light cruisers & heavy cruisers that served in WWII & before, it's pretty much the sum of all the ship classes that can be added ingame
(except the T-53 class but its pretty much just an ASW-upgraded T-47 class, which is useless without subs and will be too overpowered against WWI subs)
(reminder that to be added to WT, the ship needs to have at least its keel laid down)
Thank you for reading thus far, hopefully you'll appreciate the tech tree.
If you have any suggestion or noticed an error, you can message me through Reddit (Leiloan) or WT forums (Leiloan), I'll be grateful for any input.
